The following is a representative selection of wood pieces from an approximately fifteen year span. The variety of work reflects several distinct personal explorations, as well as a number of private and public commissions. While a wood sculpture is necessarily one of a kind, variations on an original design are always possible. I have, for instance, been commissioned over the years to create several versions of the piece titled Telamon Table. For the most part, wood is also necessarily an "indoor" medium, although I have been able to transpose wood originals to bronze and thereby to outdoor locations. That said, I began my career as a carver and have a special passion for the medium of wood. Its expressive potential and vital properties remain unsurpassed.
